Torch

Torch Honor Society is a club available to every student at CPM with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher and no failing grades. The true spirit of Torch comes from a student’s desire to give back to their community and student body.  Torch members belong to a special Cougar Achievement class which meets twice per week. We help kids set up volunteer work opportunities on and off campus, organize events at school and maintain their academic excellence.

The purpose of the Torch Honor Society is to recognize and honor those students who are consistently high academic achievers.  Torch members are role models in our school. They participate in community service work such as campus cleanup projects, peer tutoring, the annual Canned Food Drive which benefits the Mountlake Terrace Food Bank and participation in many different expos and events in our community such as STEM expos, the Edmonds Arts Festival and the Ed! Umbrella project.  Academic achievement and community service are hallmarks of positive student growth and these kids are leading by example each and every day.
